Wasp mechanism to immobilize ladybug by virus on its pupa for protection from predation. D. coccinellae Paralysis Virus (DcPV) inactivate neural cells of ladybug and enforces it to stay at one place as a parent of wasp pupa.

Summary[edit]

Description
English: injection of D. coccinellae Paralysis Virus (DcPV) into ladybug result in malfunction of neuron which causes paralysis. This virus is inactive in wasp which means is non infectious however it serves as defense mechanism for wasp offspring. The virus get new host for multiplication and continue its life cycle via new wasps.
