Government House Sydney 2nd March 1820

Sir

I have the honor to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated yesterday on the subject of the 300 young Rams of the merino blood tendered by you to Government for the purpose of being sent to improve the breed of sheep at Van Diemens Land; and as you have agreed to receive payment for them in Land at the rate of seven shillings and sixpence per acre, I agree, on the part of Government to purchase the three hundred Rams in question at the rate of five guineas for each.

I therefore request you will order them to be sent to Sydney forthwith in order that they may be embarked on the Ship Eliza now under Dispatch for Van

Diemens 6

Diemens Land.
