Description
Français : La chalouperie Godbout, classée monument historique, est un édifice destiné à la fabrication d'embarcations. Érigée vers 1838, elle est constituée d'un corps de bâtiment de plan rectangulaire, coiffé d'une toiture à versants droits percée d'une massive souche de cheminée en pierre.

Déplacée de son emplacement original, elle constitue maintenant l'élément central de l'interprétation du Parc maritime de Saint-Laurent-de-l'Île-d'Orléans de la municipalité de Saint-Laurent. L'édifice abrite un ensemble de biens mobiliers comme des meubles, des vieux outils, etc. qui sont reliés à la fabrication d'embarcations, classé bien historique. La valeur patrimoniale de la chalouperie Godbout repose ensuite sur l'intégrité matérielle du bâtiment qui renfermait l'atelier de la famille Godbout.

La chalouperie Godbout fait aussi partie de l'arrondissement historique de l'Île-d'Orléans au Québec.
