| Description |
English: The historic Sommer Block located at Depot Street and Adams Avenue in downtown La Grande, Oregon. The two corner bays of the building date to the late 1880's. In 1891 the building was expanded to its current size.The entire facade of the building (excluding one bay on Adams Street) was completely rebuilt in 1916 to reflect modern styles. 1923 Sanborn maps label this building as the "Sumner Bldg." which is most likely a typo. This building is located within the La Grande Commercial Historic District, on the National Register of Historic Places |
