Description
English: The U.S. Navy tank landing ship LST-455 departing the Mare Island Naval Shipyard, California (USA), 7 March 1943. Due to urgents needs in the Southwest Pacific, LST-455 was converted to a landing craft repair ship in Australia in 1943 and renamed USS Achilles (ARL-41) on 21 August 1944. LST-455 appears to be painted in Camouflage Measure 31, Design 1L.
