English: JUAN BANDINI CAME IN 1819 FROM PERU. INVOLVED IN POLITICS, HE BUILT THIS SPACIOUS HOME IN 1829 AND IT BECAME THE SOCIAL CENTER OF SAN DIEGO. HE INVITED COMMODORE STOCKTON TO MAKE HIS HEADQUARTERS HERE IN 1846 AND SUPPLIED THE AMERICAN TROOPS WITH SUPPLIES
