L’Église Saint Casimir est la première église baroque de Lituanie. Les moines jésuites, avec l’aide de Leonas Sapiega, chancelier d’État du Grand-duché de Lituanie, la fit construire en souvenir de Saint Casimir, patron de Vilnius. L’Église fut construite sur le plan de la première église baroque du Saint nom de Jésus, Il Gesu. L’Église Saint Casimir fut la plus importante église jésuite du Grand-duché de Lituanie.
