| Description |
Nederlands: L'Eté à Ostende. Deze affiche werd in 1893 uitgegeven door het stadsbestuur van Oostende dat hiermee extra publiciteit wilde maken ter gelegenheid van de Wereldtentoonstelling in Antwerpen in 1894. Men besteedde het werk uit aan de internationaal gerenommeerde lithodrukkerij Camis in Parijs.
De tekenaar Francisco Tamagno (°1851) laat een dame en haar zoontje verrukt uitkijken op de zee, het strand, de dijk en het Casino. De tekenaar begint de gevelparade met Hotel Continental, maar geeft ook talrijke details van het strandleven en het dijkgebeuren. De affiche werd gedurende twee jaar gebruikt om promotie te voeren. |
