Français : L'Adoration des bergers, Jérôme I Francken, signé et daté HIERONIMUS/ERANCO. F1585, huile sur toile H 2,20 m * L 2,95 m, DRAC Ile-de6france, cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris, classé MF le 20 février 1905 Ce tableau fut commandé par le parlementaire Jacques-Augustes de Thou en mémoire de son père, Christophe de Thou, premier président au Parlement de Paris, décédé en 1582. Au premier plan, agenouillé en donateur, Christophe de Thou est vêtu du manteau rouge de sa propre à sa charge.

Photo prise à l'exposition "Grands décors restaurés de Notre-Dame" Exposition du 24 avril au 21 juillet 2024, Galerie des Gobelins suite à la restauration du tableau. "Le retrait des anciens vernis jaunis par le temps a révélé la luminosité et les couleurs du tableau, notamment l'éclat des blancs que l'on ne soupçonnait plus."
