This paleontological restoration is inaccurate, or its accuracy is disputed. Reason: All plesiosaurs missing caudal fins, the skull of the pliosaurid lacks a rostrum, has an overbite for the entire jaw length and lips, tooth pattern doesn't match fossils (also, near-uniform bright green hardly seems probable for a pelagic megapredator) |
Summary
[edit]DescriptionKronosaurus queenslandicus.JPG |
English: My reconstruction of the giant pliosaur, Kronosaurus queenslandicus, seizing a Woolungasaurus glendowerensis plesiosaur from its school, in Early Cretaceous Queensland.
This scene was based off of a badly damaged skull of W. glendowerensis that was believed to have been bitten by a K. queenslandicus. (c) Stanton F. Fink |
