Description
Deutsch: Das Eichentor ist der Haupteingang des Benediktinerstiftes Kremsmünster. Von Carlo Antonio Carlone begonnen wurde es von Jakob Prandtauer 1722/1723 fertiggestellt. Die Statue des hl. Agapitus und die beiden Löwen sind Werke des Bildhauers J.Bacher aus dem Jahre 1877.
English: The Eichentor (Oak portal) is the main entrance to Kremsmünster abbey. Commenced by Carlo Antonio Carlone it was finished by Jakob Prandtauer in 1722/1723. The statue of Saint Agapitus and the two lions are works of the sculptor J.Bacher from 1877.
