Summary[edit]

Description
English: Arrival or departure of a young warrior or hero (maybe Theseus arriving at Athens and being recognized because of his sword by Aegeus). Apulian red-figured volute-krater, ca. 410–400 BC. From Ruvo (South Italy). The original image was photographed and uploaded by Marie-Lan Nguyen (User:Jastrow), 2007. This version of the image has been digitally edited to reduce the glare and the background changed to solid white.
