English: Overview of Gyeongdo (old name of Seoul) in Haedong jido published around 1750
한국어: 해동지도(海東地圖)에 수록된 경도(京都) 채색필사본. 18세기 중엽. 66.0 * 48.0cm. 서울대학교 규장각 소장 조선시대 영조 통치기간 동안 제작된 군현지도첩인 <해동지도>에 수록된 서울지도이다. 대부분의 도성도가 4대문 안을 그리지만 이 지도는 한강과 북한산성을 비롯하여 당시의 한성부 행정구역 전체 범위에 해당하는 도성 외부 지역가지 포괄한다. 산지는 녹색과 청색을 사용하여, 봉우리 기암 그리고 수목까지 정교하게 묘사한다. 반면 도성 안은 궁궐과 종묘, 사직, 중요 관청을 위주로 비교적 간략하게 그려져 있다.반면 도성 안은 궁궐과 종묘, 사직, 중요 관청을 위주로 비교적 간략하게 그려져 있다. 1721년에 축조된 북한산성에는 유사시 임금이 행차하여 임시로 머무는 행궁을 비롯하여 곡식을 저장하는 창고가 지어져 있음을 알수 있다. 서울 북서쪽의 길목에 위치한 박석고개에는 지맥을 보호하기 위해 자갈을 깔았는데 지도에도 독특한 모습으로 그려져 있다.
