View looking to the base of the Knoxville Incline from private property at South 11th Street looking to Warrington Ave and Knoxville showing the Southside. The curve to the west bears a radius of 310 Feet, 65 Degrees, and 39 minutes to a tangent. This was one of the first inclines in the world to be built with such a curve. The Compartment Car could passengers in the front could hold passengers in the front and automobiles or wagons in the rear. The Knoxville Incline opened in 1890 and closed in 1960.
