Description
English: Church of St Johannes Maria Vianney at Steinbuttstraße 47, Mönchfeld district, Mühlhausen district, Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Germany. The church building replaces the former church building and the community centre from 1962 by architect Hans-Werner Merkle. Only the church tower of the former buildings has been preserved. Like the surrounding neighbourhood, the new building was designed by architects Ackermann & Raff and built between 2020 and 2023. The church was consecrated by Bishop Gebhard Fürst on 16 July 2023.
Deutsch: Kirche St. Johannes Maria Vianney in der Steinbuttstraße 47, Stadtteil Mönchfeld, Stadtbezirk Mühlhausen, Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, Deutschland. Der Kirchenbau ersetzt den ehemaligen Kirchenbau sowie das Gemeindezentrum von 1962 des Architekten Hans-Werner Merkle. Nur der Kirchturm der ehemaligen Gebäude bliebt erhalten. Der Neubau wurde, wie das umliegende Quartier, vom Architekturbüro Ackermann & Raff entworfen und von 2020 bis 2023 errichtet. Am 16. Juli 2023 wurde die Kirche von Bischof Gebhard Fürst geweiht.
