Op de voorgrond de koning te paard temidden van twee raadsheren. Op de achtergrond de stad Maastricht, die onder vuur wordt genomen door kanonnen. Vergelijkbare versies in de Hermitage en Apsley House. Uitgewerkte versies in de Alte Pinakothek, Petworth House en het Louvre.
