Summary[edit]
Mixed martial arts legend Ken Shamrock teaching marines.
Author: Cpl. J. Agg
Date: 08/17/2005
Caption: Ken Shamrock, four-time mixed martial arts world champion and Marine Corps Martial Arts Program subject matter expert, demonstrates a finishing move August 17 for students and instructors at the Martial Arts Center of Excellence here. Shamrock emphasized the need to kill an enemy combatant within three to five seconds. “When (Marines) are getting engaged in hand-to-hand combat, they don’t have time to roll around in the dirt,” said Shamrock. “They need to finish the person quickly and get out.”
