Summary[edit]

Description
English: The Kedarnath Temple is a sacred and spiritually significant Hindu shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva. The temple is situated at an elevation of approximately 3,583 meters (11,755 feet) above sea level, making it one of the highest among the Jyotirlingas. It is located near the Mandakini River in the Garhwal Himalayas, surrounded by breathtaking natural beauty. The temple follows traditional North Indian temple architecture, with a stone structure and a towering shikhara (spire). It is constructed using large stone slabs, and the temple's exterior is plain and simple compared to the intricate carvings found in some other Hindu temples.
