English: The accepted proposal of Lavrentiy Beria to execute former Polish army and police officers in NKVD prisoner of war camps and prisons, 5 March 1940. A color scan of the original document Location: Russian State Archive of Socio-Political History (RGASPI), ul. Bolshaya Dmitrowka 15, Moscow, signature of the document: F.17, Op. 166 Case 621 p. 130-133 (2003; in the years 1991 - 2003 was stored in the Archive of the President of the Russian Federation in the set of "Closed package No. 1").

Miejsce przechowywania: Rosyjskie Państwowe Archiwum Historii Społeczno-Politycznej (RGASPI), ul. Bolszaja Dmitrowka 15, Moskwa, sygnatura dokumentu: F.17 op. 166 sprawa 621 str. 130-133 (od 2003; w latach 1991 - 2003 był przechowywany w Archiwum Prezydenta Federacji Rosyjskiej w zbiorze "Zamkniety pakiet nr 1").

Tłumaczenie z języka rosyjskiego:

stwowe granice wykryto także znaczną liczbę osób, członków k-r [kontrrewolucyjnych] szpiegowskich i powstańczych organizacji.

W obozach dla jeńców wojennych przetrzymywanych jest ogółem (nie licząc żołnierzy i kadry podoficerskiej) - 14.736 byłych oficerów, urzędników, obszarników, policjantów, żandarmów, służby więziennej, osadników i agentów wywiadu według narodowości: ponad 97% Polaków.

Wśród nich jest:

Generałów, pułkowników i podpułkowników - 295
Majorów i kapitanów - 2.080
Poruczników, podporuczników i chorążych - 6.049
Oficerów i młodszych dowodzących policji, straży granicznej i żandarmerii - 1.030
Szeregowych policjantów, żandarmów, służby więziennej i agentów wywiadu - 5.138
Urzędników, obszarników, księży i osadników [wojskowych] - 144

W więzieniach zachodnich obwodów Ukrainy i Białorusi przetrzymywanych jest ogółem 18.632 aresztowanych (wśród nich 10.685 Polaków), w tej liczbie:

byłych oficerów - 1.207
byłych policjantów, agentów wywiadu i żandarmów - 5.141
Szpiegów i dywersantów - 347
Byłych obszarników, fabrykantów i urzędników - 465
Członków różnorakich k-r [kontrrewolucyjnych] i powstańczych organizacji i różnych k-r [kontrrewolucyjnych] elementów - 5345
Zbiegów - 6.127
