Description
English:
Calvary hill, Stations of the Cross Simon of Cyrene carries the cross. - Üröm calvary hill is a local grade nature protected area, since 1974. The 3rd station of the south circle of the Üröm educational trail. Planted pine forest and moth oak (Quercus pubescens) bush forest and slope-steppe vegetation. The hill contains Eocene (about 35 million years old) limestone marl. The calvary created in 1895.Sculptures made Pleistocene limestone from the closely Budakalász and Oligocene sandstone from the Silver Hill Quarry (located in north part of Üröm). Renewed in 2001. In 2001, it was renovated with the donation of the expelled Danube Swabians population of the village. The Gothic German inscriptions on the station columns were made at their request. The crucifix renewed, its former metal corpus changed to artificial stone one. The two other crosses are original. - along Dózsa György Road (Road 1108), Üröm, Pest County, Hungary
