English: Kalikasthan Temple is located on the side of the main road of Delhi Bazaar in Kathmandu Metropolitan City. This temple is located in the upper part. This Kalika temple is under a pipal tree. This Kalika temple is considered as the main Shakti Pith. Kali is one of the ten Mahavidhas. According to Tantra, there are many distinctions like Adyakala, Dakshinkali, Bhadrakali, Guhriyakali, Siddhakali, Mahakali, Raktakali, Kalkali, Shmasankali, Chandakali etc. In this temple, there is a huge crowd of devotees on the great festival of Nepalis, Vijayadashami. The idol of Goddess Kali carved in black stone is very beautiful. There is a tradition of daily worship in this temple.
