Description
Nederlands: Tijdens een droom zag Rangjung Rigpe Dorje, de 16e Karmapa, de vlag en besloot het als symbool voor de linie te gebruiken. Deze droom vond plaats in Marpa House, Boulder, Colorado, een woon- en meditatie-beoefeningshuis van Shambhala International. Na deze droom liet hij een paar tekeningen zien aan zijn persoonlijke naaister daar: Deborah Luscomb uit de Shambhala Gemeenschap. Sindsdien staat deze vlag in de Shambhala Gemeenschap bekend als de "Karmapa's Droomvlag". Toen hij de vlag liet zien, voorspelde hij: "Als deze vlag ergens wappert, zal de Dharma er opbloeien" (Wherever this banner is flown, the Dharma will flourish).
