Description
English: A typical Sun Microsystems Japanese keyboard layout (mostly based on the Sun Type-5 keyboard). Notes:
  1. The Ctrl key and the Caps Lock key are swapped on some keyboards (UNIX style).
  2. Usually the Yen sign key inputs 0x5C (backslash in UTF-8, ASCII and ISO/IEC_8859-1) not 0xA5 (Yen sign in UTF-8 and ISO/IEC_8859-1) because 0x5C is rendered as the Yen sign in many Japanese encoding systems and fonts.
  3. According to an official document by Sun, the vertical bar | is rendered as the broken bar ¦, but the key (Shift+Yen) does not input 0xA6 (broken bar in UTF-8 and ISO/IEC_8859-1) but 0x7C (vertical bar in UTF-8 and ISO/IEC_8859-1) by default. The 0x7C can be represented as both the vertical bar and the broken bar in some encoding systems such as ASCII and Shift JIS.
