Kaiserliche Marine war von 1872 bis 1918 die offizielle Bezeichnung der Seestreitkräfte des Deutschen Kaiserreiches. Kiautschou (Jiāozhōu) war ein 1898 vom Kaiserreich China an das Deutsche Kaiserreich verpachtetes Gebiet im Süden der Shandong-Halbinsel an der chinesischen Ostküste. Hauptstadt war Tsingtau (Qingdao).

The Kiautschou Bay Leased Territory| was a German leased territory in Imperial and Early Republican China from 1898 to 1914. Covering an area of 552 km2, it centered on Jiaozhou Jiaozhou became romanized as Kiaochow, Kiauchau or Kiao-Chau in English and as Kiautschou or Kiaochau in German.
