Summary[edit]

Description
English: On June 4th of each year, the strong censorship is enforced on the Chinese Internet in order to prevent any discussions or mentions about the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989. Inspired by the Free Speech Flag by John Marcotte, I designed the Chinese Free Speech Flag. This flag is a symbol of free speech. It contains only one color as its background, which is #890604 in HTML color notation, that shows a metaphoric protest on the censorship. In addition, the flag can be shown along for the online protests, extra explanations by words is not necessary. Even the color #890604 can be used everywhere, in any types of works, making it has more resistance to the censorship. Spread it to every corner of the (Chinese) Internet.
