Summary[edit]

Description
English: The portrait of Judson Rosebush was made using the first video digitizer at Digital Effects Inc. in New York. The video digitizer was built by Vance Loen based on plans by Bill Etra, and the software to convert the image into alpha-numeric characters was developed by Don Leich and inspired by Ken Knowlton's EXPLOR software. The image is a photograph of a black and white computer terminal monitor; the diagonal is a result of non-synchronization between the monitor display and the still camera shutter.
