Gentlemen of the National MedicalAssociation: Lack of both funds and time havecaused me to confine my investiga-tion to letters, and to a limitedamount of work in my immediatecommunity. Some 500 circular let-ters have been despatched to phy-sicians and Health Boards, both inthis country and to some extentabroad. Very few of these circu-lar letters have attracts d any atten-tion whatever from those to whomthey were sent. A number of per-sonal letters have also been written,but they have met with very littlebetter reception than the circulars.From altogether, I have receivedthirteen replies as follows: One from Sherman, Texas, whichreports a population of about 75,000 The writer has never seen a case.
