Text Appearing Before Image:
Xo. 4351 Keport from the stereo-roentgenograms shows extensive involvement of theupper lobe on the left side. The lesions present are cavitation, some con-solidation, extensive mottled diffuse infiltration almost throughout the upperlobes. There is some pleuro-parenchymal involvement in the apex. Carefulobservation indicates the diffuse infiltration, which appears to extend so fartowards the diaphragm, is confined entirely to the upper lobe. Unusual denselines in the right hilus compose a complete circle when viewing a singleroentgenogram stereoscopic-ally and can be differentiated as in a cavity con-clusively. ORNDOFF — TUBERCULAR LUNG PARENCHYMA 225
Text Appearing After Image:
No. 535 Report from stereo-roentgenograms shows on the right side cone lesion ofDunham in the second interspace mid-axillary line. In the apex above theclavicle a small cone lesion is seen showing less distinctly. Its apex extendsbut a short distance towards the hilus and it is apparently of more recentorigin. On the left side there is extensive pleuro-parenchymal involvementwith a large area of almost complete consolidation extending down to theregion of the second rib. Below the consolidation diffuse infiltration, whichloses density as it extends farther down in the upper lobe. A pericardialeffusion shows distinctly and the heart can be outlined within the pericardialsack. 15 226 THE JOURNAL OF ROENTGENOLOGY
