Every j^erson who shall lawfullymanufacture any substance as a substitute forbutter shall mark by branding, stamping orstenciling upon the top and side of each tub,firkin, box or package in which said articleshall be kept, and in which it shall be removedfrom the place where produced, in a clear anddurable manner in the English language theword Oleomargarine, or the word But-terine, or the words Substitute for butter,or Imitation butter, in printed letters inplain Eoman type, each of which shall not beless than three-quarters of an inch in length. Sec. 4. It shall be iinlawful to sell or offerfor sale any imitation butter without informingthe purchaser thereof at the time of sale thatthe substance sold or offered for sale is imita-tion butter.
