Summary[edit]
| Description | Jones Alley is an official named and signed NYC street, but it is nonetheless gated and locked. The alley is located in the NoHo neighborhood of Manhattan, and runs east and west of Lafayette Street between Bond Street (East 4th Street) and Great Jones Street (East 3rd Street), but does not go all the way through either block. It is a dead-end east of Lafayette, and west of Lafayette, the gate of which this image shows, it connects with a north-south alley called Shinbone Alley. Jones Alley is named after Great Jones Street, which at one time it may have connected with. (Source: The Street Book, NYCLPC NoHo Extension map) |
