English: Historical scene, possibly depicting Erik XIV, Karin Månsdotter and their son Gustav.
Signed I Z Blackstadius pix and dated 1858. Canvas 45,5 x 42 cm. Painting by Johan Zacharias Blackstadius (1816-1898). Erik XIV had at least five children out of wedlock, one of which was with Karin Månsdotter, whom he later married. The son Gustav, pictured, was born within the marriage.
