Description
English: Horizontal, black and white print of the B'nai El synagogue at the southwest corner of 6th Street and Cerre Street. Three men, one holding a pick-axe and one pushing a wheelbarrow, are shown along the center of the lower edge. Another man can be seen playing with a dog in the distance. The woodcut appeared in Ballou's Pictorial Drawing-Room Companion, published in 1857.
