| Description |
English: This photo was taken a few months before the pandemic period happened during the mid of 2019 when I first had the chance to travel down to Jewel for a short catch-up session with my friends during our short school term break.
This photo showcased the main attraction point of Jewel Mall - the Rain Vortex, and this view was taken coincidentally when I first came across the vortex while I was exploring it from the top floors of the mall and it truly amazed and fascinated me a lot back then, the vortex looks even more stunning and beautiful in person than what this photo could do justice for. (Though I tried my best to capture the beautiful view of the vortex right at that moment when I first discovered it hahaha) The HSBC rain vortex was proudly sponsored by HSBC Bank, and it became the world’s tallest indoor waterfall. It comes with a stunning display of water cascading down 7 storeys at the heart of Jewel! It flows down 40 metres to the basement of the mall, and the mighty cascade will mesmerize tourists and locals alike as the sunlight catches the spray. Similarly, when the sky darkens, the continuous pouring of the rain vortex will then take on a mysterious appearance with mystic splendour as it turns on its light and sound show. Visitors could take a seat around the many vantage points surrounding the rain vortex, relax and enjoy the light and sound show during the night time or take a special walkthrough tour around the rain vortex with link bridges specially provided for visitors who are interested to pay for special admissions into the walking tour area. |
