Summary[edit]

Description
English: the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem: Looking northward, from the Eleventh Station (the Franciscan/Catholic chapel) into the Twelfth Station (the Greek chapel).
  • A chandelier (or a modified vigil lamp?) under the Eleventh Station's arch.
  • Behind it are the golden vigil lamps hanging at the Twelfth Station.
  • The inscription on the Eleventh Station's arch: “Stabant iuxta crucem [Iesu] mater eius” (“Stood by the cross [of Jesus] his mother[, and his mother's sister, Mary the wife of Cleophas, and Mary Magdalene.]” — John 19:25).
  • Bottom-right: the Catholic altar of the Thirteenth Station.
This is a photo of a place that is recognized as a heritage site by the Council for Conservation of Heritage Sites in Israel.
