Description
Français : Jean Bourrel (1866-1946), maire et conseiller général de Quillan, président du club de rugby US Quillan, coiffé du chapeau rond à bord large de fabrication locale commercialisé sous la marque Thibet (slogan publicitaire : Sport et Élégance [1]), portrait photographique de 1929. Né à Espéraza d'une famille d'industriels chapeliers (Bourrel frères), Jean Bourrel est appelé dans l'entre-deux-guerres pour gérer l'usine Hillet et Lasserre (fondée en 1908), dont il devient propriétaire à la mort de M. Lasserre (1922). Son entreprise, désormais établissements Jean Bourrel conquiert rapidement un marché national et international [2].
