Description Apparently its teeth are well cared for. The North American populations of these creatures are threatened for various reasons. One is a genetic bottleneck in their population due to isolated populations as a result of habitat loss. There is mounting scientific evidence which proves the importance of these creatures to biological diversity of other species.
