日本語: 蛇の目（じゃのめ）は、日本の家紋「弦巻紋」の一種である。弓の弦を巻きつけておく武具を図案化した家紋であるが、蛇の眼にも見えることから、蛇の目とも呼ばれるようになった。主に加藤氏や細川氏、堀江氏などが用いた。 English: Japanese family crest "Janome", bowstring holder (tsurumaki) arranged hexagonally. Janome is an alias, for the shape of tsurumaki, stands for eye (me) of serpentine or snake ('ja). Used by Kato, Hosokawa, Horie and other clans. |
