Object history Until 2006 Princess with a Monkey by Janis Rozentāls was property of a collector, an heir of the tailor Augusts Rusmanis. Rusmanis had purchased the painting in 1975 from Agra Klauža, the adopted daughter of Jānis Sudrabs, Head of the Department of Horticulture of the Latvian Academy of Agriculture.
