Description
Intersection of James St., Front St. (now 1st Ave.) and Mill St. (now Yesler Way). The Daily Post building appears on the right. The three trees located in front of the building were used for a lynching on January 18, 1882. Buildings on the left side include the Occidental Hotel, the Vanity Fair Saloon, Frach grocery store, Mackintosh and Reeves Bank, Gem Saloon (Charlie Anderson, proprietor) and a drug store (Gardner Kellogg).
