Summary[edit]

Description
English: James H. Meredith (left), a prominent civil rights activist, talks with Col. Rosendo T. Guieb, commander of the 89th Military Police Brigade, Fort Hood, Texas, during a meal at an African-American/Black History Month Observance event Feb. 25, 2016, at Fort Hood. For Meredith, the 89th MP Brigade is special since it was the unit responsible for his safety during his historic attendance to the University of Mississippi in 1962. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt.
