James 1st halfgroat obv
Description
English: A James 1st halfgroat from the first coinage 1603 -1604. Obverse has a crowned bust of the king facing right with the roman numerals II behind. The obverse legend is I D G ROSA SINE SPINA - James by the grace of God a rose without a thorn. The reverse has the royal shield with a mintmark of a thistle above it. There is no reverse legend.
