Description
English: James Starley in Royal Pavilion, Brighton, 1877. Starly was a noted manufacturer of sewing machines and, later, bicycles. Note that the young man with a penny-farthing in the backgroound wears knickerbockers for safety; the older men on quadricycles wear regular long trousers.
