Deutsch: Darstellung eines Jakobspilgers am Remensniderhaus (Bruederstrasse 26) in Herford, Kreis Herford, Nordrhein-Westfalen. Deutlich zu erkennen sind die Insignien des Jakobspilgers: Der Stab, Die Muschel und das Buch. Im Mittelalter war Herford ein Sammelpunkt der Jakobspilger auf dem Weg nach Santiago de Compostela in Spanien.
English: Saint James pilgrim on the Remensnider framework house in Herford, District of Herford, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. The signs on the St. James pilgrims, the walking pole,the book and the shell are easy to see. In the middleages Herford was an important meeting point for St. James pilgrims on their way to Santiago de Compostela in Spain. |
