Description
English: This illustration accompanied a story of a young boy, Jacques de Caumont, who survives the persecution of the Huguenots in France in the 16th century. He appears on the right peeking out upon a scene in which he discovers the murder of his elder brother. Illustration for a story by Sabine Baring-Gould in Once a Week magazine, Volume 6, page 614.
