English: A portrait of the Venetian nobleman and provveditore, Jacopo Antonio Marcello. It is from an illustrated Italian manuscript Marcello prepared for Rene d'Anjou, c. 1453: Life and Passion of Saint Maurice. This illumination has been attributed to Giovanni Bellini. The manuscript is Bibliotheque de l'Arsenal, MS. 940, fol. 38v, and it is reproduced in J.J.G. Alexander, Italian Renaissance Illuminations, pl. 10.
