Summary[edit]
DescriptionJCAL and Old Jamaica Savings Bank.jpg |
English: Two sites on the National Register of Historic Places on Jamaica Avenue in Downtown Jamaica, Queens, New York City, side by side. On the left is the 1904-built "Office of the Register," a.k.a.; "Queens Register of Titles and Deeds Building," now the headquarters of the Jamaica Center for Arts and Learning. On the right is the 1898-built Jamaica Savings Bank Headquarters. While not fully restored, the old Jamaica Savings Bank was in better condition than the last time I took pictures of the place. Fledgling attempts to save the building partially sponsored by the JCAL have kept the neighboring building afloat.
