Deutsch: Von Westen, der nächste Bahnhof müsste Santa Catalina gewesen sein. Die Strecke führte nach Algorta an der Strecke nach Salto und Concordia mit Anschluss an die argentinische Ferrocarril General Urquiza mit einer Abzweigung nach Fray Bentos. Wie meist in Uruguay hat man die Bahnanlagen nach der Schließung fast des gesamten Netzes einfach sich selbst überlassen. Einige Kommunen, so auch Cardona, nutzen das Bahnhofsgelände als Grünfläche. Das Streckengleis selber ist zugewachsen, die Signalleitung nicht mehr vorhanden. Ein Stahldrahtrest hängt jedoch vom Ausgleichshebel bis zur Windes des Laternenaufzuges. Der Signalmast besteht aus Holz, vermutlich einer dauerhaften Quebrachoart. |
