Deutsch: Der Hersteller ist auf dem gegossenen Spannwerksbock lesbar, Westinghouse Brake & Signal Co. Ltd. sowie London & Chippenham, die Spannwerke sind eine für britische Verhältnisse völlig ungewohnte Einrichtung. Für deutsche Verhältnisse sind dagegen die Bauformen untypisch. Die Klemmvorrichtungen, die Hubverlust beim Umstellen verhindern, entsprechen völlig ihren deutschen Pendants. Die mögliche Fallhöhe der Spanngewichte ist dagegen nur gering. Möglicherweise besteht hier die Forderung, dass die Außenanlagen bei Drahtbruch eine definierte Endlage erreichen sollen, nicht. Die Bauart ohne Erdfüße und mit Leitungsführung in unterschiedlicher Höhe deutet darauf hin, dass die Spannwerke eigentlich Innenraumspannwerke für das Aufstellen unter dem Hebelwerk sind. Die nach links abgehenden Stränge würden dann von oben vom Hebelwerk kommen und mit dem Flaschenzug könnte man die Spannwerke einfach anheben.Das hintere Spannwerk in der Riegelleitung ist deutlich größer und mit einer Schwinge ausgerüstet, diese vergrößert den Reißweg deutlich. |
