Description
Deutsch: Die Einheiten der Reihe 484 sind durchgehend begehbare Halbzüge. Wegen der notwendigen Festigkeit der Halbzugenden und der Kupplungshöhe liegt der Führerstandsboden deutlich höher als der im Rest der Einheit. Die Wagenlängen und die Laufwerksanordnung entsprechen den Vorgängerbaureihen, die Fahrmotoranordnung dagegen nicht. Die Achsfolge ist (1A)Bo’+Bo’(A1)+(1A)Bo’+Bo’(A1), die Endachsen der Viertelzugeinheiten sind Laufachsen. Die Führerstände haben zwar eigene Einstiegstüren, wegen des erhöhten Wagenbodens ist es aber den Triebwagenführern nicht mehr zumutbar, für die Selbstabfertigung ab- und wieder aufzusteigen. Vorteilhaft ist, dass der Einstieg an den Führerständen nicht mehr wie bei den Altbautriebwagen direkt über einem Stromabnehmer liegt.
