Description
Deutsch: »Twindexx«-Triebwagen der Reihe mit einer Einstiegshöhe von 600 mm für die Verbindung Frankfurt (M)–Aschaffenburg–Würzburg. Entgegen der Absichten des Herstellers, der die Triebwagen als angetriebene Steuerwagen bezeichnete und als Wagen zugelassen bekommen wollte, wurden sie doch korrekt als Triebwagen eingestuft. Die ebenfalls vorgesehene Zulassung für den freizügigen Einsatz mit allen Reisezug- und Steuerwagen wurde jedoch nicht erteilt, zulässig ist nur der Betrieb mit den typgleichen Mittel- und Steuerwagen.
Der Triebwagen ist bei DB Regio Bayern eingestellt und in Nürnberg beheimatet. Zwischen Führerstand und Einstiegsraum liegt ein Maschinenraum, durch die Doppelstockbauweise ist ein Unterflureinbau der Traktionausrüstung nicht möglich.
